Cards That were Voted In
Check out my previous post about who I wanted to be included in this Spring’s Players Choice GodFest. Cards like Kushinadahime, Haku, and Fujin were all clearly going to make it in because they are just so darn useful.
I can’t really say there is a card I am disappointed made it in. Acala is a very nice choice and who I voted for last time around. Back then, she was the best, most under rated card, out there. She has everything Kushinadahime has, except the crosses are harder to make than Kushinadahime’s combos are.
While you can use most of the cards that were voted in as leaders, the vast majority are great as subs on the top tier teams. Since Kushinadahime is the only top tier leader that would be from the REM, it makes sense that most would be subs. Anubis has actually creeped back up the top tier list to about an A class, so people who don’t have him yet will be happy if they pull him.
Acala, Kushinadahime, Anubis and Raijin are probably the only ones people would use as leaders for tough content if they had all the cards below. The vast majority are subs for the top tier teams.
Let’s take a look at who goes on which team:
Indra, Dark Kali, Kanna, Isis, Diao Chan, and potentially Raijin are all useful for Ra Dragon
Haku, Sima Yi, Lumiel, Loki, Pandora, and Persephone are useful Dark Athena
Haku is useful for Kushinadahime
Fujin is useful as an inherit for any team.
Orochi is an amazing inherit for Athena, and really should be inherited onto any team.
Eschamali is useful for Yomidra speed farming Arena 1.
Ganesha is useful for farming rank and double coin dungeons
Liu Bei is useful for buttoning tough content like Super Ultimate Dragon Rush.
Ra is useful for buttoning dungeons
Leilan is Baelan. Super useful and super sexy.
Andromeda and DQXQ are useful double heart/orb creators of their main attribute.
Ilm is useful as al eader for ranking dungeons, but mostly as a sub for Kenshin, Ilm, and Anubis.
Who Didn’t Make It in PCGF
I am very happy that most of the cards I wanted in made it. The only exception to my list was Ryune. I believe that she didn’t make it because there were some other. 6 Star God Fest Exclusives who were more popular.
Ryune unfortunately didn’t make it in like I had hoped. I think this might have been a little bit of bias on my part because I want more of her. I already have 1, but would like to have another, and maybe a third, just because her skill is so great to have access to.
Notes on the number of 6 Star God Fest Excusives
It is widely known that voting in a ton of 6 Star God Fest Exclusives is a bad idea. Many players were disappointed in the last PCGF and it would have been nice to get a stone refund (yeah right).
The fact is the more 6 stars you have, the less likely you will pull good diamond cards. The chances are usually less than 1% for 6 stars, and you don”t get a chance at pulling those outside of the cards being. voted in. Having more 6 stars dilutes the pool and mathematically makes your God Fest terrible.
Compared to Ryune, I think the other 6 Star God Fest Exclusives are more universally desired. I anticipate a lot of people want Ilm for the Casino Ranking Dungeon playstyle and Eschamali for Bewbs. I don’t think Eschamali is even on any top tier teams
This time around, having so may 6 Stars isn”t a terrible idea. All of the cards are useful in top tier teams and make excellent additions to any PAD player’s box. Most cards I would be happy to pull dupes of.
The fact that Player’s Choice God Fest coincides with Dark Gala will give you 2 chances to have all those juicy dark cards that you need to complete you teams. I know I will be hoping for some great cards to actually make a decent Dark Athena team on my alternate account.
Thoughts on Ganesha
I’m very happy Ganesha made it in. I believe everyone should have a Ganesha, but not because of ranking up excessively. Throughout May, we have had access to a Tamadra a day, resulting in a stone, 555,555 coins, and 5,555 MP. I have used double Ganesha every day because it gave me 2,222,222 coins, which has allowed me to not worry about coins for awhile. That’s the main way I use my Ganesha: coins.
I use it on Friday to get over a million coins from Friday’s Gold Dragon Infestation. I get a ton of coins from the dungeon with double Ganesha, then I sell the Gold Dragons for tons more coins.
What everyone else uses it for is high ranking, which I disagree with. Despite having access to Ganesha, Super Ultimate Dragon Rush, Monday Dungeon, and tons of other ways to rank up over the past few months, I remain at rank 640. I have only ranked up maybe 30 ranks in that time period. Some people have been averaging 30 ranks a day and are well into the 8 and 9 hundreds.
Sure this looks cool and might be seen as a status, but high rank hasn’t been an indicator of player skill in 2 years. All it says is you play a lot and you use button teams, not that you play for skill.
In fact, some people have missed natural playing time by using Ganesha even when they have stamina to burn. This results in more lazy approaches to the game in my opinion and is something veteran players didn’t have access to. It allowed them to play the game, struggle through dungeons, and patiently wait out the natural 10 minute time until stamina refreshes (you read that right new players).
I hope everyone pulls a Ganesha today, but I don’t want everyone to continue ranking needlessly because it takes away from the fun of the game.
Thoughts Overall Good or Bad
Only time will tell in what everyone pulls, and of course some people will have better luck than others. I believe the monsters voted in are all much better than the last Player’s Choice Godfest.
When you vote in everyone, you end up getting no one, and I’m happy that didn’t happen this time.
Best of luck! Let me know who you pulled in the comments!
