Overall Assessment of the Pantheon

This is the first pantheon I know of where you don’t need to evolve them.  It’s more a matter of choice whether or not you evolve these monsters and it’s dependent upon their subs that you use.

The non awoken form (base form) all add 2 combos to your overall count and make some sort of full board change, varying for each card, while the awoken form provides an unbind active, paired with the unbindable awakenings (which apply to both forms).

Luckily this pantheon is not hard to evolve and you can reverse it if you only have one.  It’s not like you have to make a permanent decision like evolving your only Eevee with a Thunderstone.

Some teams may benefit from having a separate sub attribute for color coverage, and in this way, all of the awokens are bicolor while the base forms are single colored.

Of course you will get more awakenings and a slight HP / RCV boost for most.  Each very in their stats, with some up to 700 in attack (Oichi) for awoken, but losing 320 RCV.  You’ll want to click the images below to find out the specifics from PADx or check in game.

Monsters In this Pantheon

+2 combo count for 1 turn. Change all orbs to Fire, Wood & Heart orbs.

Awoken Active Skill

Leader Skill

Can no longer clear 3 connected orbs. Fire attribute cards ATK x4. All attribute cards ATK x4, 25% all damage reduction when attacking with Fire and Fire combos at the same time

Analysis

Inahime has 2 of some of the most sought after awakenings which is amazing.  She is flexible, unbindable, offers time extends for new players, and can make up for short comings in skill bind resistance setups.  I love the active and see it working really well as an inherit on Leilan (in teams you don’t need light orbs).

She is perfect as an inherit for Acala teams as she makes everything Verdandi does, but adds combos, or bind clear, both of which are great on this team.  You can’t go wrong either way.

3692 nene  3693 awoken nene

Nene

Active Skill (Non Awoken)

+2 combo count for 1 turn. Change all orbs to Water, Light & Heart orbs.

Awoken Active Skill

Bind recovery for 3 turns.Awoken Bind recovery for 3 turns. Change all orbs to Water, Light & Heart orbs.

Leader Skill

Can no longer clear 3 connected orbs. Water attribute cards ATK x4. All attribute cards ATK x4, 25% all damage reduction when attacking with Water and Water combos at the same time.

Analysis

Like most pantheons, fire water and wood will be very similar, but change based on their attribute.  The stat changes are different in that you get more attack when you awaken compared to an even increase in hp and RCV from Inamine.  Nene is a great inherit for the new GodFest Exclusive I discuss below with Ame No Minakanushi.  As a leader, you get x8 attack and all damage reduction of 25%.  I love the idea of multi color matching providing a shield as that’s such a fun mechanic to think about.

3694 oichi  3695 awoken oichi

Oichi

Active Skill (Non Awoken)

+2 combo count for 1 turn. Change all orbs to Wood, Dark & Heart orbs.

Awoken Active Skill

Bind recovery for 3 turns.Awoken Bind recovery for 3 turns. Change all orbs to Wood, Dark & Heart orbs.

Leader Skill

Can no longer clear 3 connected orbs. Wood attribute cards ATK x4. All attribute cards ATK x4, 25% all damage reduction when attacking with Wood and Wood combos at the same time.

Analysis

Oichi is the only card I have pulled so far from the pantheon and she looks great for many teams and farming with her 3 skill boosts.  I want to use her as a leader just for fun since I like the idea of not getting rid of 3 orbs anymore (like Noctis and Barbara).  Oichi is already a better leader than Barbara because she makes her own hearts and has a ton more subs to choose from.  I’m anticipating Sylvie and a ton of Kaedes for this team (I pulled my third Kaede team from the current Godfest).

3696 Tachibana Ginchiyo  3697 Awoken Tachibana Ginchiyo

Tachibana Ginchiyo

Active Skill (Non Awoken)

+2 combo count for 1 turn. Change all orbs to Fire, Water & Wood & Light & Heart orbs.

Awoken Active Skill

75% damage reduction for 1 turn. Change all orbs to Fire, Water & Wood & Light & Heart orbs.

Leader Skill

Change the board to 7×6 size. All attribute cards ATK x5, 25% all damage reduction when attacking with Fire, Water, Wood & Light orb types at the same time.

Analysis

The light and dark attributes in Pantheons are where things change.  Both Techiaban Ginchiyo and Nohime provide a 7×6 board and almost all damage reduction.  You’re essentially trading the x8 attack for x5, double 7c awakening, and 7×6 board.  You also miss out on the opposite of their main attribute in defense (in this case dark, light for Nohime).  This makes Ginchiyo suceptible to preemptives like Hera Dragon and DQ Hera right off the bat so you’ll want to counter this with something else in your subs for leader playstyle, or save her leader skill (which provides 75% damage reduction for one turn).

You won’t be able to inherit Ginchiyo as effectively to the perfect Kushinadahime team since she doesn’t make darks, but you can definitely still inherit that awesome shield + board changer.  Perhaps to Reincarnated Sakuya teams since you don’t need the dark attribute to trigger.  Any combo lead not dependent upon dark orbs will love this active, base or awoken.

3698 Nohime  3699 awoken nohime

Nohime

Active Skill (Non Awoken)

+2 combo count for 1 turn. Change all orbs to Fire, Water & Wood & Dark & Heart orbs.

Awoken Active Skill

75% damage reduction for 1 turn. Change all orbs to Fire, Water & Wood & Dark & Heart orbs.

Leader Skill

Change the board to 7×6 size. All attribute cards ATK x5, 25% all damage reduction when attacking with Fire, Water, Wood & Dark orb types at the same time.

Analysis

She is so close to a Dark Kali board, but I don’t see that being added to a Pantheon.  However, you can add her awoken form as an inherit for Kushinadahime since you’ll get a nice board change plus the 75% damage reduction for Kushinadahime’s original active.  You could also get the other part of the leaderskill with a combo boost if you add Nohime’s base form.  This means you can get more TPAs in your Haku set up and still get 10 combos (8 on the board).

As a leader, she is essentially Uruka’s blue/dark form except lacking light damage reduction.  This isn’t always a big deal as not too many tough monsters are light attributes with preemptives, unlike dark attributing.

God Fest Exclusive Added in June

3603 Serene Primordial Divinity Amenominakanushi

Serene Primordial Divinity, Ame No Minakanushi

Serene Primordial Divinity, Amenominakanushi

I don’t know what people will call this card, so I will start off with Mina.  He may be called Nushi or Kanushi perhaps, but I am not sure as I’m writing this.  If I remember I will update it later 🙂

The point is, he is a new God Fest Exclusive card that you can pull starting today.

According to Wikipedia, Ame No Minakanushi is the Japanese source of the universe, I assume similar to Chaos in Greek Mythology in that he is the source of everything.  I don’t know much about Japanese Mythology, but it seems that much of the lifeforce and other Gods came from Ame No Minakanushi.

The source of the God alone, this is a fantastic card that everyone should like to get their hands on.

First off we see that he is a full board changer (water, light, heart) and also changes his attribute to light.  He also has a base attack of 6 times for light attributes just for having lights.  This makes him the water/light GFE version of Aizen.   The main difference is Mina comes out at a time when combos are the best part of the meta, so you don’t need crosses like Aizen does.  Instead you will want to get up to 7 connected orbs.

Unfortunately the number seven does not allow you to maximize on rows right off the bat.  You certainly can, but it will be like Reincarnated Pandora where you will want to have 8 connected orbs so you can take advantage of the row awakenings for your subs.

pad pandora row

If you try to make a board like this, you’ll be able to have more combos and maximize on 7c subs, but rows will be hard to achieve.  This could be more beneficial as you have more space for orbs and use one less orb (7 vs 8) but you’ll miss out on the row based awakening subs.

Amen 7 orb boards

It really comes down to which team you want to put together based on your box.  If you have more rows, go for the row set up, but if you have combo subs and TPA subs, go for the second set up.  It really doesn’t matter because it’s not like Mina himself has a bunch of rows you’ll miss out on if you change the team around.

Conclusion

The combination of a new God Fest Exclusive with the new Samurai 2 Panthron makes this a pretty amazing God fest.  I pulled 6 times on my main from stones I have saved up and I’ve gotten one from the pantheon (Oichi).  I will be seeing where I can apply her further, but her active alone is amazing.  I may opt to keep the +2 combo version in my case, but again which evolution you go after is going to vary based on your box.

The double 7c awakenings on the light/dark pantheons are great to use as subs or leaders and still get a nice damage boost.  Sure they start at x5, but the 7c and 7×6 board can make it easy to get 7 combos and turn them into x10 themselves.  Ive seen in practice from Nepthys that this isn’t always ideal however.
